What is compote, exactly? Compote is a simple fruit sauce made with pieces of fresh (or frozen) fruit and some sugar, cooked briefly on the stove.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g berries frozen or fresh
  • 1 tsp Xylitol or tbsp. of maple syrup

Instructions
 

  • Warm in sauce pan till boiling and syrupy. Cool and store in air tight container.
