  • Optional Fryer


  • 200 g prawn meat tails on or off
  • 2 tbsp coconut flour
  • 1/2 cup coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil for frying may need more
  • 1/4 tsp Himalayan salt
  • Lime wedges to serve


  • Combine the coconut flour and coconut in a bowl. Add the prawns and press the coconut into them well.
  • Heat oil for deep-frying the prawns. Place a prawn on a slotted spoon and place in the oil. Fry for 1-2 minutes. Remove with the slotted spoon and place on a tray or plate lined with paper towel.
  • Serve warm, seasoned with salt and lime. Ideal with a fresh cruchy salad.
