Macadamia nuts are one of the sweetest and most flavorful nuts available, especially when roasted or toasted and added to a delicious recipe.

  • 1 ½ cups raw, unsalted macadamia nuts
  • ¼ cup raw sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp coriander seeds
  • 2 tbsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp flaked sea salt optional
  • 1 tsp olive oil


  • Preheat pan to medium heat, Cook all spices until fragrant. Remove from heat and pulverise in mortar and pestle (or blender if not available.)
  • Put nuts, spice mix and tsp oil in bag and shake until nuts are coated. Preheat oven to 200°C and roast nuts until golden brown. Cool and store in air tight container.


This recipe works really well with cashews and peanuts too.
