Tofu-Nut Patties

A great meat-free recipe high in protein. Serve with Hummus and a green salad.

  • 1 ½ cups Pre-cooked brown rice Organic is best
  • ½ cup Rice bran
  • 1/2 cup Ground almonds or almond meal
  • 250 grams Mashed Hard tofu must be HARD tofu
  • 1-2 tbsp Tamari


  • Blend tofu, tamari and cooked brown rice.A dd this mixture to the ground almonds and rice bran. Mix well together. Form into small balls and flatten into patties.
  • Cook patties in a lightly oiled heavy bottom based frying pan until nicely browned. Alternatively, they can be placed on a baking tray and cooked in a moderate oven for around 30 mins. You can always pre-prepare these patties ahead of time, they are also great for putting in the freezer for future meals.
  • Serve with a green salad and hummus to compliment the tofu nut patties.
